PEOPLE OF LIGHT (Interactive Video-Art)

  • Place: Villa Anna - Largo Mouzinho de Albuquerque, 4

The installation assumes that humans are like portals where, through a Kinect camera, their silhouettes open the doors of an obscure and abstract universe to a colourful universe. The objective is to provoke the reflection on the connection of two distinct spaces, real and virtual, having as condition of possibility the human presence. A light analogy to good and evil, where the living and conscious human figure is the connection to a universe of colour overlapping the darkness.

DATA7 is a member of VJs Anonymous, a group that meets in this AURA edition to create an interactive video installation, live and direct.

Vj's Anonymous is a collective of men and women who meet monthly to share their VJ experiences. The only requirement for membership is to be VJ. There is no need to pay admission fees or quotas, just show up and share experiences with the rest of the group, for mutual support in combating the downfall of lumens and projections.
